Nepal is safe for travelers

Nepal is a combination of ancient history, vibrant cultures and scenic splendor. Located between China and India, Nepal’s main geographical features include snow-capped peaks, lower mountains, hills and lush Terai plains of tropical jungles.

Nearly one- third of the total length of the Himalayas and 8 of the worlds 14 highest peaks are in Nepal. The landlocked country covers an area 147,181 sq. kilometers ranging from 70 meter to the highest point at 8848 meters above sea level. Nepal’s popularity as a tourist destination has increased greatly over the years. Trekking and mountaineering has  been a popular and adventurous asset of economic growth for the nation and the people involving in the trekking sectors. With the variety of adventure options, the country is a favorite among adventure lovers. Several trekking routes, adventurous treks, family holiday, rafting, jungle safari  and tour, cultural trip, voluntary trips are the major attraction for the tourists coming here in Nepal.

But, now the things are not same here in Nepal since few months back. The recent massive earthquake on the date 25 April, 2015 has changed a perspective of people and living of Nepalese. Nepal suffered a huge loss of life, property and mentality. They are in the phase of rebuilding up and gaining hope to rise again. Now, with the passing on time everything has started to come to normal and everyone has started to relive with their daily works and livelihood. But, for the trekkers and trekking lovers it has not been same. People are still stranded in several places because of earthquake and many tourists as well as local trekkers have lost their life. It is getting tougher to regain the courage to go to the trekking sites and for few months moreover the trekking has been closed.

But, it does not mean that this is the end of trekking in Nepal. Rather this is the time to rise up, feel strong and enjoy the new adventure and challenges. Most of the popular trekking routes like Everest Region, Annapurna Region, Manasalu Region, Mustang Rgion, Dolpo Trek, Arun Valley Trek, Family Holiday, Short & Easy Treks and few other regions are safe for trekking and along with those, several activities like rafting, jungle safari, cultural tours and other activities can still be done. Even for those who are willing to help the peoples with their voluntary activities are welcome here in providing hands in rebuilding Nepal. Once again trekking is to start up from next season and we can continue our trips and treks once again and relive the moment.
